Cambridge IsHome

I love several things. Writing is one of them; for as long as I can remember I've enjoyed doing things to words. Cambridge is another thing I love; in the summer of 2006 I got even more in love with it, and with my camera, and with doing stuff.

How could I combine my passions? How could I write about doing stuff in Cambridge? I know - I'll set up a website. About doing stuff in Cambridge.

The best laid plans...

Initially I went great guns. I did things. I wrote about them. I planned articles. I designed and re-designed. I learnt how to use Word Press, a great bit of blogging software. I bought a domain and planned a set of "ishome.co.uk" sites spanning the country.

Then I realised I had a day job, no money, and an overly-critical veiw of my design skills. The site wasn't updated that regularly. It looks bad. Hackers ate the site for a month, and all my photos forever, earlier in the year. It needs a re-launch.

Coming soon

Now JuicyFly is done, I have a bit more time to spend on Cambridge.IsHome. The new design is almost comlete, and I'm actually pleased with it. It relies on some PHP image technology I need to trial, on this site, and as soon as that's working I'll start on the site - then update this page with some screenshots and a "best of". Plus I have ideas for cheap things to do - and more time to do them. 2007 is the year of the IsHome.

See the site - such as it is...
